After graduating from Birmingham University with a degree in Biological Sciences I worked as a microbiologist in the Dairy industry, and then in the Pharmaceutical industry, for several years.

I returned to university to qualify as a teacher and taught in British and International schools for 20 years. I have taught A level Biology and GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I was teacher in charge of the Biology department for some years and I have worked as an A level examiner.

For many years I tutored students in my home. Not one single student failed to get the grade they wanted and some did even better! For the last six years, I have tutored students on-line and have given over 4000 lessons. (Please see TESTIMONIALS for comments from both students and parents)

 I like to find out exactly what your needs are. I ask you what you feel you are good at and where your problem areas lie. Drawing on my experience, we come up with a learning plan.

 I employ all kinds of strategies to help you learn and remember. You’ll be amazed at how many ways there are to learn! All these approaches will be useful to you right across the curriculum.
