Terms and Conditions

 Please review these terms and conditions. In proceeding to use the Tutoring Services you are agreeing to have read and accepted them.

 Acceptance
By using the tutoring service you have accepted the current terms and conditions and agree to adhere to them.

Definitions
Free Consultation
This is a short (15 – 30 minutes) consultationwhere Tutor and Student establish suitability and tutoring needs. It is not a teaching session.
Session
A pre-booked period (usually 1 hour duration) in which the tutoring occurs. In all cases the session will be paid in full, in advance.
Student
Any person who has agreed to use these tutoring services and has accepted the terms and conditions under which the services are provided. The student may be an adult or student under adult approval from his/her parent or legal guardian. 

 Behaviour
There is an obligation on both the student and the tutor’s part to behave in a correct and acceptable manner during tutoring sessions.

 Booking a session
You may purchase one or more sessions with the tutor. By doing so you are entering into a direct contract with the tutor for the provision of tutor services under the terms and conditions prevailing.

 Payment
Payment is made using a PayPal invoice sent by email, and can be paid for using a PayPal account or a credit card. A surcharge of 3% will apply to clients transferring money from accounts outside the UK.

 Cancelling a session
In the event that a student wishes to cancel a session with the tutor, he or she must notify the tutor no less that 24 hours prior to the allotted session time. If less that 24 hours notice is given, the student will be charged the full amount for the session, and thus forfeit that session.

 Failure of Internet
In the event that the scheduled session cannot take place due to a failure in the internet or some other matter that is the responsibility of the tutor, the tutor and the student may agree to postpone the session and undertake the relevant session at a mutually convenient time.

 Refunds
Refunds are not available for any sessions once purchased by a student.

 Intellectual property
Materials provided by a tutor and any concepts, models or other tutoring tools shall belong to the tutor. The tutor grants the student a limited revocable license to use such material solely for the purpose of participating in the tutor sessions. Without limitation you may not distribute, copy, sell or otherwise use any such material without the prior written consent of the tutor. You are not permitted to record any tutor sessions under any circumstances. Any recording of any tutor session shall belong to the tutor and shall not be reproduced for any reason without the prior consent of the tutor.

 Confidentiality
The information you provide to the service will be held only by the service. The information supplied to the tutor will not be deliberately passed to third parties. However, as with all electronic communication, nothing can be regarded as totally secure and therefore it is understood all information provided is done at your own risk.

 Reviews or Rating
Should you wish to rate or review the quality of the tutoring you receive, opportunity will be made to do so. If these comments are to be published in full or in part on the TopScienceTutor web page you will have the option to remain anonymous. In writing such a review you grant license to publish these comments to promote the service.

 Results
It is clearly understood that this service is a tutoring service. TopScienceTutor does not guarantee specific grades or results. By using the service you accept the principle that this is a teaching service and will not hold the provider accountable for poor or disappointing examination results.

 Dispute
Any dispute or claim will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English law.

Changes
From time to time changes may occur in these terms and conditions. You can review terms and conditions at any time and are encouraged to do so.
